You encapsulated the American political and social psyche perfectly and succinctly. Tragically, the gradual movement of both political parties further to the left and the right that was accompanied by changing ideologies beginning in the mid 1980’s that slowly polarized our country.

It is more than time to separate the extreme ideologies on both sides from the truths that are right there in front of us and, as you suggested, come together from within to unravel the prejudices, misconceptions, and stereotypes that divide and trap us. Then we can come up with common sense solutions that will can bring all of us back together as one nation undivided.
